Where is it?
Greytown, South Africa.
What will I be doing?
Volunteers will help to facilitate learning through play in the homes of children not able to attend a pre-school. Depending on your skills you may also be based at the day centre for children living in an informal settlement (squatter camp) by helping run activities and play in a safe supervised space.
What impact would I have?
Volunteers will help bring joy and education to pre-school children who otherwise do not have access to this. Early Childhood Education is fundamental to nurturing a child’s curiosity and by supporting the home based practitioners you will help create a crucial start to the children’s education.
Who would I be working with?
Local children and caregivers, Early Childhood Development practitioners.
